“It was a pleasant cafe, warm and clean and friendly, and I hung up my old water-proof on the coat rack to dry and put my worn and weathered felt hat on the rack above the bench and ordered a cafe au lait. The waiter brought it and I took out a notebook from the pocket of the coat and a pencil and started to write"
~Ernest Hemingway~
Beautiful!! :D The question is, would you be able to drink it?? I know I would be pretty hesitant to break up the picture. But, eventually, the thirst for coffee would no doubt force me to destroy the artwork. How do you guys feel about such fleeting works of art? O.O
ReplyDeleteLuckily, the art lives on in the photograph!
ReplyDeleteAnd the coffee (or hot chocolate for me) is meant to be consumed...
but would still be hard to destroy it-- I would have to marvel for a while first.
So you didn't actually drink this? Did you find it on the interwebs?
DeleteNo indeed, I did not actually come across this in Real Life... found it on the interwebs.
DeleteYay for photos! Lol!!
